Our Background
About Us
Arusha International Open School was established to supplement government efforts to provide secondary education to people, especially those who did not get the opportunity through the formal curriculum
After realizing that there were many people who had the desire to peruse their academic careers but had been hampered by the bureaucratic nature of the formal curriculum decided to start this school center.
Arusha International Open School is unique because in addition to the local Necta curriculum, we started the international Cambridge and Ed-excel curriculum. Through this, we have continued to provide IGCSE, GCSE, AS & A LEVEL Cambridge and Ed-excel at very low fees.
Arusha international open school started as small tuition and coaching center in 2016, rose steadily until it was officially registered by the government, ministry of education through the institute of adult education under registration number IAE/OS/0639, What started as an idea from Mr. Fred M. Maena and Ms. Liz Chamberlain was carefully produced and nursed by Ms. Suzan John until it reached this high standard of serving people beyond the borders of Tanzania.
We now take in students from Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Malawi, Zambia, DR Congo, Rwanda, Somalia and Burundi among others.

Our Courses
We have positioned ourselves to be the leader in education services delivery by focusing on three main areas:

We believe that a well-rounded and rigorous program of academics, arts and athletics builds a foundation for life-long learning

By enhancing a diverse community of learners that fosters creativity, open-mindedness, responsibility and excellence

Well-rounded students, prepared for university-level studies, whose knowledge worldview permeates all aspects of their lives
Meet our Teachers
Staff Members
You won’t find a more dedicated, caring teaching staff anywhere. Our teachers come to Arusha International Open School because they WANT to be here — not because it’s easy or convenient! It’s not uncommon to find staff members playing a pickup game of basketball or court soccer with a group of students, chatting with students at picnic tables during lunch, or praying with and encouraging students who might be struggling.
Because at Arusha International Open School, we’re more than just a learning community — we’re a family.
And that’s the Arusha International Open School Difference.
